What happens when we leave behind everything we know and love- friends, family, career? Earlier this year, I left a government job, which had broken promises of a steady, lifelong career, and it threw my entire life into chaos. By the time I left, I was already dissatisfied with my work and yearning to move somewhere with a better quality of life. I knew that this change would be my opportunity for a change, a second story.
After leaving my job, selling all my things, and leaving my friends and family, I moved to Australia. My journey now is to see what comes next and actively write my next chapter.

Born in Nebraska, grew up in Texas, studied in Kentucky and London, worked in Washington DC, and now living in Australia.
I’ve moved around a lot in my life, and with each new place comes a new phase of life. One chapter ends, and another one begins, one in which we get a hand in writing our own story. In my case, I mean this literally. Writing is something I have always been interested in, and I am happy to have the time and space to be able to focus on it now.
